Well I have been informed that D has been tentatively accepted to one college- when I called to ask if all her information was received- I didn’t ask what tentative meant though- I imagine it just meant as long as she graduated.

She has only finished the application to one other school & they don’t want a counselor recommendation- I am afraid they are going to look too closely at grades ( B-ish average with low scores on APs- unweighted) and test scores ( not even going to look)

However- her recommendations are very strong- from teachers in her area of study and her school sends many kids to this university.

We haven’t visited yet though

( Humboldt & Western Washington universities are the schools)

Anyway- when I was looking for more info about schools in Ghana- I ran across this new website which looks very impressive!

I don’t think she is interested in business- but after her stay in Dunkwa, she may be interested in learning more about “global economy”
