I need to learn to deal with stress better.

Just got off the elliptical :-)

I need to figure out how to get more sleep. I’m a night owl, I’m totally awake at night, but have to get up for work at 5AM. I am going to cut back on caffeine to start. I really don’t want to get up early on weekends, which is suggested in changing sleep cycles. Sleeping in on the weekend is one of my few pleasures in life.

Clean out the clutter in my apartment before I move out of state.
Lose 15 lb by graduation.
Learn to take better care of my dietary issues.
Try to have a two day weekend as often as possible, even if it means giving up some shifts.

I started a major de-clutter two years ago, and it was going pretty well until about March. I need to pick that up again.

Lose 10 lbs.

More reading, less computer.

Last night I bought myself a daily devotional nook book. Starting Tuesday morning. :)

martina99, I have exactly the same sleep issues, and somehow I have to get myself to bed earlier on weeknights.

sewhappy, I’m with you – I want to make more time in my life for yarn.

My final resolution is for our newest cat. She came to us in July from the shelter as a very slender cat, and she’s doubled her weight! So I’m going to make time every day to do some strenuous play with her.

We write ourselves letters and put them in our Christmas stockings before we take them down. We’ll read them today; it’s less intimidating than resolutions (which inevitably fall by the wayside and I really don’t need to feel less accomplished than I already do!)

I hope in 2013 I will be more forgiving of myself and others. Less apprehensive about the hidden trap doors of life. More willing to have an adventure. Less willing to eat something dangerous for me. Less angry at the world.

those of you hoping to manage your weight, I highly recommend Renee Stephen’s inside out weight loss podcasts. They aren’t so much about calories and food as they are about angst and comfort. Not that I experienced dramatic weight loss, but at least I haven’t gained any in about 10 years and at 49 that seems like a big deal

Well, I am going to keep exercising, work on training sabadog and try to worry less about D. The first two I know I can do. The last, well, probably not.

And let me second blueiguana’s recommendation for MyPlate. In addition to tracking calories, it also allows you to track carbohydrates and sugar content (and fat and protein…). So it would be perfect for you, FallGirl!

I’m just going to keep doing what I did last year as things generally went well. The proliferation of tools available to make sure that you get done what you need to get done on time (or slightly late) is amazing. I run my life off of electronic tools and sharing information with family keeps us mostly in sync.

We do a full house-cleaning in the spring but I like to work on cleaning up the basement once a month and my office area about three times a month. Dealing with paper coming in is the biggest problem.

We have a closet in the bathroom with a huge amount of school supplies, papers, notebooks and toys. The vast majority of the stuff in this closet hasn’t been used in at least ten years. It’s on my project list to clean out so we can use it for storage of things that are used. My general approach is to put things in storage or throw them out if they haven’t been used in a while and put things that we use near the places where we use them.

Same ones as above, get back into painting, try my hand at golf, worry less for DD,
Declutter… No weight loss goals because I haven’t achieved those in about 15 years. This year is to be all about eating right and exercising just to feel good, if weight loss happens, that will be a bonus.
Happy new year to all, may we all keep our resolutions!

The paper is used - it’s notebooks, and work papers. The supplies are used too - paints, markers, pens and other stuff. I imagine that the markers are dried out. This stuff is junk but nobody has cleaned it out. The papers I can put in storage or save electronically. I don’t know if I’m up to converting the papers to electronic form. Son probably wants his stuff saved. Daughter doesn’t care.

After my recent diagnosis of a life threatening disease, I resolve not to put off my bucket list, at the top of which is a visit to next year’s Rose Bowl Parade. I’ve bookmarked a number of websites on planning a visit to the parade but wonder who here has some personal tips on where to sit, where to stay, best travel package, what else to do while there? Thanks and a happy new year to all.
