Yeah please let me know as well.
guy behind the hack states that the proton link has the same info as the mega link my computer canāt run the files so good luck to whoever wants to open up those files
Prospective data science major with very little knowledge here. I found my application in the proton file( only one I have). It did NOT have the decision yet. I did find someone from my school who applied ed2 and got in, their data is shown. The common app file is the most privacy concerning one, it shows your entire common app including activities, honours, high school, zip code, counselor email, etc.
Still analyzing the data, nothing in the proton files have ssn or full address.
where did u find the ed2 person? thereās 4 files i think
New info: your address is shown, in zip code plus four form. Such as 12345-1234. Narrows done to around 10 or so houseās. This can be searched by high school, applicant name, etc.
Application.csv, grep by name, or you can narrow down by year. It shows decision plan. Then, you use the student id to find their application on adm common application.csv.
Also, admitted students for this year donāt seem to have their whole common app viewable on the admitted ca file. So it wonāt show activities, birth city etc.
Can u send the file
i think we can assume that 2025 regular decision admissions were not leaked
Unfortunately, I found my name, place of birth, zip code with four-digit extension, high school name, counselor email, and race.
Thankfully, some of my activities and common app responses (including parentsā occupation, employer) arenāt on there.
iām so sorry, this is horrible. i still canāt believe how nyu could let this happen. so many people had their information leaked for no reason at all
i hope youāre okay
why couldnāt the hacker just publish all the decisions tbh instead of doing all this lmao.
i donāt even think they had the data for that. nyu is doing a better job protecting its admission decisions than applicant information
I think the data is stored separately. Not sure if NYU uses slate or another service to read and decide, but the data leaked is definitely from their archives. After every year, they save the data to their archives, they just havenāt finished this cycle yet and updated the large database that was leaked. Thatās why some ed2 and ed1 data is there, but rd is not.
I think most likely, the rd data is with a third party that also connects to their portal, and unless that service is hacked, this years rd data is inaccessible.
When using the NYU Esuite, does anyone else also see their student ID? Not the Uni ID with the N######, like an actual ID configured of just numbers??? Also in regards to being able to log into the NYU services, I also have a profile + NYC set as my location. Is this something everybody has?
I have it but I also saw it on the Financial Aid stuff too
Does anyone have the withdraw button on their portal?
I still do.
