happened to me yesterday. i had just summer and the drop down had just nyc. today, i looked and it has BOTH nyc and dc.

Housing portal was a bit. Mine turned from summer and spring to no applications.
Then, it turned back to summer.
So I was thinking… Yup definitely rejected. But as it turns out, I was just overthinking
I thought the “no applications” was the telltale sign of acceptance?
Wait so it shouldn’t even say summer then?
From looking at the early decision thread, when it got closer to the release date, it showed “no applications” and didn’t have any options - no spring, no summer.

guys housing portal astrology is NOT accurate. ive researched it a lot and found that no matter what there are contradictions. trust me, if anything was reliable I’d have found it out. this is coming from someone who really wants it to work too so im not just saying it.

On that site, I can search for current students which is a little odd/insecure if anybody outside of NYU can see their majors and e-mail addresses to contact them. So I thought only the admitted students are allowed to log in. But my son’s name can not be searched on that site. Does anyone know what this means?

Yes, that is the link I was talking about. I can search for, for instance, a person who graduated from my son’s high school and see her major, email address, and NetID. I think it is not appropriate that people outside of NYU can see all that information, which made me think only admitted applicant can log in and search?

I feel like that could be a privacy concern. The same thing goes with my NYU email address. When I type in a person’s name to email, a whole list of people with the same first name shows up.
Ex: if I wanted to type in “Liv”, under my name/email are options of other people w/the name of Liv.
It probably isn’t any indicator of admitted students though because when you log into the NYU directory they ask you for your NetID + password (which reminds me I need to change my password cuz it expires today) and the link is for people who have an NYU account only. There’s a public one but it isn’t as…say…comprehensive as the Global Home one.
It surly has a privacy concern. If all the applicants who currently have NetID can see all that information now, it’s as good as everybody at NYU is open to public because 90%~ of us/applicants won’t be admitted who will continue to hold the NetID? Or will not-admitted students lose the NetID?
So NYU is coming out on the 26th now. Now my housing portal still shows summer 2025 but it also shows London and New York in addition to the DC it showed earlier. Is that just me?
Same here. Only summer 2025 with NY, London and DC.
