GuysâŠshould we try this? (I canât because I already have access but is anyone willing who hasnât been associated with NYU in the past/present?)
https://brightspace.nyu.edu/d2l/home
yes, letâs do it.
i canât believe itâs tomorrowâŠ
sameâŠNYU is my #1. but I couldnât apply ED.
i tried emailing my nyu email id and it went through, didnât bounce back. a few of my friends who got rejected ed had it bounce back, so is this a sign? anybody willing to try?
for the email, check nyu support center â account
I would but mine is already activeâŠand welcome to college confidential!!
mine bounced back at first, then the next day it didnât. did your ed friends have it bounce back the day before admissions?
they tried it the day before, bounced back within 5 min
but is the email glitch accurate, tried my stern email id and it went through too
I have no clue, I donât have a Stern email. I:
- didnât apply to Stern (not a business person, no offense to anyone interested in SternâŠitâs a gorgeous school and worth it)
- applied to Tandon, CAS, and Steinhardt
- already have an active email
- Iâm out of bullets oops
I donât have any of these options.

Am I cooked?
I wish I could pin a message to this saying that my information about NYU is to be taken with a grain of salt. Yes, Iâve been involved with NYU thru a pre-college program and I know a little bit more about NYUâs Opportunity Programs a lot more than I do about NYU itself. I am no professional. Iâm learning most of this at the same time as everyone else. Once I checked the HEOP Interest box on my Common App made me inadmissible to General Admissions, and so I got a âsoft noâ from NYU itself, but the Opportunity Programs is a subset of NYU.
The Opportunity Programs process is different then general admissions.
FIrst, you and a select group of others get chosen and you have to attend a mandatory information session to be considered. These are in person or online. After the info session, you fill out an Interest Form indicating your interest. Once you attend, you sign up for an interview slot and show up, once again, in person or online. Then, you wait like everyone else for decisions.
My point is, NYU Opportunity Programs is just a little bit more to the process than just submitting your Common Application without checking the box.

I felt compelled to post this because Iâve been getting questions in this thread that I cannot answer because I just donât know the answer. This message is not directed to anyone in particular, and I am sorry if it seems like I am targeting one specific post. That is not my intention at all.
Good luck tomorrow for everyone here!
my message also went through it bounced back few hours ago does it indicate anything I am a tandon applicant
I have no clue, youâll have to see tomorrow.
not sure, sent it ~15 min back, not bounced back yet
i just realized i accidentally clicked on the âheopâ option for nyu without actually living in ny . am i cookedâŠ. they didnât send me an interview so maybe they already knew it was a mistake
can you make a poll for duo verification
Well they probably realized based on your address given on your Common App and noticed it doesnât align with the HEOP/CSTEP criteria.
Is it bad I that I canât see the 178 error anymore?
