What location did you request for first year?
I only applied to New York. But for lsp I’m fine for all the locations
how did you do this?
Since I live in the city I was able to attend lots of events, NYU had really good perspective student events this year besides just campus tours they had senior days and open houses for different schools so overtime I make connections with officers by continuing to go and ask questions and follow up as well as just like emailing and stuff
And I went to open houses for different schools because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to major in
im not tryna be that guy but the reason i applied to nyu was to escape my city. Do you not care about that or you had a different reason espically with your parents
to be honest, I think growing up in one of the biggest cities in the world has spoiled me because I can’t imagine going anywhere that has any less resources opportunities. I would just feel like I’m missing out and I’ve already built really good connections here and have a job I really like and would love to stay close to family but still like live on campus.
Most kids in New York are dying to leave, but I don’t see any reason to trap myself in a weird college town

can u guys chance me for stern? i had a 3.1 freshmen year, 3.78 sophomore, 3.96 junior, so 3.67 if they recalculate or 3.86 if they dont. its two different transcripts, so im not sure. Essays and recs describe growth, really good supplemental and personal statement, 1540 SAT. founder and president of DECA, two business internships: one for trading stocks and one for finance, passion project for creating a business and documenting my own trades over 100 pages, orchestra leader, investment club leader, student ambassador, etc
GPA is low. Everything else looks pretty good, but I definitely think it depends on how much the admissions officer likes your essay.
oh also i sumbitted my interim grades and i had like a 4.1 uw. i also have national awards for chinese contests, ap score, college board recognition, and a couple school awards like honor roll, scholarship pillar, etc.
im not sure about the recalculation but everything else looks nice
thank u. its because i searched it up and it says that some schools recalculate for a combined gpa since its two transcripts, but some just look at the new one since they realistically dont have that much time. or they just look at freshmen year in context and then use the new school as well.
