Is this a thing…my child’s friend said they have already been accepted academically to NYU and just waiting to hear on artistic acceptance (Tisch). I know some schools do it that way, but I didn’t think NYU did that?

If it was an athletic commit then yes. Because athletes are accepted into nyu the school but you don’t know if you got in to tisch or stern or something else
