Imo take this with a grain of salt, intl will be a lot harder. BUT, domestic will not be that much easier.

NYU always recruits rich intls who can pay a lot. Itās kinda over for intl applicants requesting aid. The NYU Promise is in itself a little bit of a joke
My NYU AO said that it is truly 50%
50% of people that get in submit and 50% that get in donāt submit.
and when I mean my AO, the person reviewing our applications came to our school for like visits yk and told us

lol i go to a semi-competitive nyc hs and we have around 30-40 out of the 900 class size that get admitted to nyu every yearā¦
i spent 2 years of hs int. in China but am applying thru a domestic hs full-pay what does this mean for me
Itās jus so scary to think abt sometimes that the AOs are reviewing my applications along with those ppl from Stuyvesant

an AO confirmed that the ed acceptance rate from the 23-24 cycle was 38%
The Ed acceptance rate from 20-21 on cds shows as 27. I doubt it grows every year
NO FRā¦ they send like 80/800 students to nyu every year. but tbh those nyu accepted at my school have lower than average stats but decent ec (ofc we in nyc internships & research are great).

My school has probably 20 people apply RD and as far as I know the last 3 years only 1 person as gone each year.
the past 2 years it has just been for music or theater (we have a really good program)
And 3 years ago someone went for stern.
I think I am the first ED1 applicant from my school.
I also go to the number 1 school in my state. And we are pretty well known.
but there is already an athletic commit from my city who got in they are private school kid
I also met the AO for my school once last year and again this year and they remember me! and I did a research thing with an NYU professor who is also a nobel laureate
its bassicly if you donāt get into your intended major but they think your a good fitt you get in
