A lot of things don’t make sense…first its for spring 2025, second the financial aid package is for 2024-2025 which doesn’t apply to incoming freshman for fall 2025. I am sure the person might have enrolled for some NYU course either directly or through his/her school

I think the fact that it says “Anticipated Enrollment” in the account says a lot
You dont even need to login. Just open Gmail (sign out if you are already logged in with your personal account. Sign In. In the email just type NYU-net-Id@nyu.edu. If it’s active it will take you to the Google sign-in page, else it will say it’s inactive. I wont be worried if it shows inactive.
My friend who is a freshman at NYU this year tried that two days ago, and it claimed it couldn’t find his account, so I wouldn’t go by that.
I believe that’s because they create email aliases once you’re enrolled, but I could be wrong.
It works for my fordham email Id.
I heard NYU has stronger email security and that’s why the email hack doesn’t work for applicants ahead of time

This isn’t a hack at all. That’s the way logins work for email accounts powered by Google.

I have “Attention - If you do not see the application, it is not yet available to you. Please check back in two business days.” on the housing portal, like you - if I understood correctly. But then if I google NYU ScholasTix portal, there it makes me buy discounted tickets if i select also extra-school events, like nba matches. Does it work for you as well?
