So basically, I am contemplating whether or not I should apply ED 2 or Regular Decision. I know Stern takes Early Decision VERY seriously considering many of the top students in the country picture it as a safety to Stanford, Wharton, etc. Now is it worth it to take the ED route, or perform (projected) 1270-1320 of 1600 on my SATs for Regular Decision?

You SAT ain’t get you no where. At least try raise your math. Course load and ecs look good

Pretty sure Stern will be filled with Wharton rejects as long as they keep accepting as many Asians as they currently do (not saying this is bad, but it’s true).

1320/1600 doesn’t look very hopeful, so if you can still take January SAT, do not do anything from now and then except practice problems. Should average out to one SAT practice book per 7-10 days. And I think Stern looks at the writing section too. Basically if you can get your SAT up to at least a 1400/1600 or 2100/2400 with at least a 650 on math on the next SAT, go for RD.

Thanks much! I appreciated your other thread regarding why you left NYU Stern. Very good insight and I am definitely taking that into consideration.

Your ECs are amazing but your SAT is absolutely atrocious, if you bump up those SATs to 2200-2300, you can go anywhere!!

I think the GPA will first need to be addressed.

Oh ouch, didn’t see that you were weighted GPA out of 5… Yeah that GPAs not looking too great either ;/

@lullinatalk

You nailed it! I was the only one deferred in Wharton and the rest of my friends were rejected. They are all applying to NYU Stern and want me to just in case and Iam contemplating it. I am pretty sure the only reason I got deferred was from the fact that my GPA is a 3.2 out of 4…
