Newbie Here....Chances at UC's or USC?

Hi all,

I am new to this website. Seen plenty of interesting things.

I am planning on applying to most of the UC’s as well as USC and a few out of state.

I am currently a High School Junior
My GPA (Fresh, Soph, Junior) is 3.85
I know UC’s do not consider Freshman year so my GPA for them is 4.09

I don’t have much community service, but I will have over 100 hours of community service by the time summer is over.

I am in ASB right now, and play golf (though not for my school)

My SAT scores are 1780/2400 and 1200/2400 on the CR + M. I plan on retaking in October.

My ACT score is a 26.

I am taking the SAT II’s for the first time next Saturday.

I have taken (Junior Year)

AP Chemistry
AP US History

And next year, will take (Senior Year)

AP Statistics
AP Calculus
AP Government
AP Physics C (Mechanics)

What are my chances of getting into a UC San Diego, UCLA, UC Berkeley, or a USC?

Should I aim lower?

Mike

I would def. try to raise your ACT or SAT. That is low for those schools. Your GPA is pretty good.

Work on raising your score and you should apply to some safeties
