Berkeley is going to that for you, sephorazn.

I am going to… hop on to the site of the school I am attending and BUY BUY BUY merchandise. I’m gonna be at every game, rest assured ;)

so when are we gonna start the chance me threads for the fall 10 transfers haha

CHANCES FOR UCLA?!
:/

oh myyyy…

I don’t know how long you’ve followed this thread, Yunie, but I’m being facetious hehehehe.

I have a real question,to what extent do we put high school achievements on our applications?
I haven’t really done much at all in college. [I wish what I posted was true!]

You can put it down under your EC’s.

Yunie: I’m only asking because you are of Japanese descent, but have you tried Yakitori? I want some chicken gizzards and special hearts.

Ha! Erika- that was crafty.

I have (believe it or not) done over 2,000 hours of community service!

I mean like, should I put down everything? Or just the biggies?

Examples: gold medals from tae kwon do competitions, treasurer for junior class and Asian American club, Confirmation (Catholic sacrament for those who aren’t familiar) leader + hospital volunteer (300 hours put together), LA Children’s Hospital intern, NYLF - Medicine @ UCLA :), private tutor.

IDK it’s just weird considering these happened 2-3 years ago when I apply. But then again I don’t want to leave all those spaces blank on my app.

My CC career = bum status.

edit: Evan, you took a year off to devote your time to volunteering and community service! haha.
double edit: currently wearing my UCSD hoodie from sophomore year HS. Either it shrunk a lot or I grew.

When do we start filling out applications!?

I’m a hopeful transfer from UCR. Applying to UCSB, Berkeley, and UCLA. Speaking of which, does each individual school have a separate application or do we just check boxes? I know that’s how it is for freshman, but figured transfer might be different.

We fill out our apps in November, and we just check the boxes like we did in High School.

Fantastic, thanks for the info. So any other UC to UC applicants out there? Do we have a chance?

What are you stats / major applying to?

YES I HAVE!!! <3!

in high school, actually i don’t remember how many hours I did of community service…someone who was a junior had completed 5,000 hours O__O she got something special on her diploma.

i don’t think i have that many EC’s and such: Phi Theta Kappa, tutoring at a local learning center for elementary/middle school students, youth leader at my church, link vp, and hopefully honors student! :D

^ Yeah, I’ll just ride the TAP horse as far as it takes me.

I highly suggest trying Kokkekoko at Little Tokyo…best Yakitori ever.

the best is in japan. (: i will be going back to japan in three weeks. :D

Besides Japan obviously lol I went 2 years ago…stayed with a host family. They fed me so much!

what school is better for Anthropology? Berkeley or UCLA?

i believe that!!! hahahaa!!! (: to me, i’m biased soo…, nothing compares to eating in Japan…oishiiii.
