<p>A “Major” boost? C’mon. It’d be a curiosity and a point of trivia at the admissions office lunchroom – that’s it.</p>

<p>What qualifies you as a “super teen”? Anything that would set you apart in a highly competitive applicant pool?</p>
<p>Winning the contest probably wouldn’t matter that much in admissions, but whatever one has done to win such a national contest would be something that could impress admissions officers. Students I’ve seen who’ve won such things have done truly remarkable things, not, for instance, just gone on expensive volunteer abroad junkets that their well off parents paid for. The teens who win such contests typically have gone far out of their way – using their own time, creativity and energy – to make a difference in others lives or have overcome themselves difficult challenges.</p>
