Nice colleges in Pennsylvania?

U Penn, perhaps?

You may think I’m crazy, but if you get in and your family income is under 70K,
YOU PAY NOTHING!

We’re from Michigan. We’ve visited Pitt twice and like it quite a bit. My daughter has been accepted there, but hasn’t decided. It’s the only school in PA we’ve looked at, but my husband & I loved the school, campus, surrounding city.

Bloomsburg is beautiful for a small PA state school, but I think they have filled their slots. Some of the Penn State branch campuses are great. PA has a ton of state/state-related schools with cheap tuition if you are in-state. Some of the LACs are quite pricey, but financial aid might get you to an affordable price.

Bucknell
Lehigh

As for tuition, remember that the sticker price is not always the price you pay. Depending on your family’s financial situation, your grades, or other special situations you may be a good candidate for financial or merit aid which can offset the costs to the point that some more expensive schools fall into your affordability range.

Just to clear up a miconception of Drexel. MomofWildChild, you are way out of line and it sounds like you’re thinking about drexel from thoughts you have many years ago. Its true that about 20 years ago Drexel was a large commuter school, with a lot of concrete. Times have changed and there are tons of green areas a nice quad and continuous new state of the art buildings being constructed, not to mention all the new dorms and most of the students live on campus. “It isn’t as safe as Penn?” This is just rediculous. Yes Penn has ivy growing on its buildings but it goes much farther west into philadelphia than drexel does. Get with the times and stop being so salty.

Drexel is still ugly.

University of Scranton is pretty, tuition is higher than 15,000, but it’s a pretty decent school. Education is quite good, I’m pretty sure they have a fairly good PT program.

University of Pennsylvania.

Zack- I drive through the Drexel campus about every 6 weeks and I also read the crime reports for the area. It has improved, but it is still ugly and has many, many commuters. That’s fine, and the coop program is good, but don’t pretend it’s a nice campus.

Maybe Clarion??
tuition and board is less than 14,000 if you’re instate

dunno about financial aid, but Juniata has a pretty nice campus.

Look at Messiah. DD needed lots of green space. She felt too “closed in” at most other campuses we visited. It is over your price range, but scholarships are good. It is very beautiful and peaceful. A creek right there to raft, canoe, float in. A hill for sled riding. An area for bonfires, etc. It is a Christian school. Lots of huge, old trees. Much grassy areas. I saw a hammock chair hanging in a tree, etc…

Look at Jermaine S. L. Krzywukliz Educational Institution

Penn State UP
Temple
IUP
West Chester
Pittsburgh

All that I could think of that fit the criteria.
