is the Radisson on South Figueroa (shown on USC’s website as the closest) a good choice?

Yes, the Radisson is a great choice. It’s right across the street from the University and very nice. My daughter and I stayed there last May when we visited USC. We were able to walk over for the tour, and then again the next morning we walked over to the campus for coffee before we headed out of town.

The Radission is a very good choice. It is USC’s hotel, several floors are used as freshman dorms, and it is directly across from campus. For a prospective applicant, it is as close to finding out what it is like to be on-campus as possible.

It is, however, a bit shabbier than most Radissions. It is clean, comfortable and perfectly acceptable, but you won’t find the polish and attention to detail you would expect at a fine hotel.

The very nice hotels tend to be downtown and are also convenient to USC, though you will NOT be able to walk to campus from them.

thank you very much. We’ll make reservations there.
