Nightlife in Durham

Can current students answer for me…what is the nightlife like in Durham, NC? There’s apparently a fair number of people there, but it certainly doesn’t seem like it’s that big of a city.

I mean I know some people that go out etc and it sounds like there are a lot of good places to go but all I do is sleep so I guess I cant help you on that

There are a few bars and clubs nearby that students hang out at. But nothing extravagant.

In the last couple years, the New York Times has twice highlighted Durham’s stunning emergence as a food, culture and entertainment destination. Just this year, Baldwin Auditorium has reopened after a massive – and splendid – renovation, the new Durham Performing Arts Center has announced plans for further expansion, and the Bulls’ Park is increasing seating, adding luxury boxes, and installing a new field. In sum, Durham today SIGNIFICANTLY differs – all in positive ways – from Durham of even a decade ago.
