NJHS rejection because the email didnt put step two

So im in 7th going onto 8th and my school is doing NJHS and the email never said that you HAVE to give your teacher the forms. so i got the email today that i got rejected heres what it said:

"Hello,

We regret to inform you that your application for the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) at (Not showing my school name) was not successful this time. While we received many outstanding applications, the Faculty Board, not the NJHS advisors, made the final decisions.

It appears that your application was incomplete, as we did not receive the required teacher recommendation form. We understand that circumstances can sometimes lead to oversights, and we encourage you to reflect on this experience as an opportunity for growth and development.

We appreciate your interest in NJHS and encourage you to consider reapplying in the future. If you have any questions or would like feedback on your application, please feel free to reach out to us.

Thank you for being so understanding, and we wish you continued success in your academic endeavors." Okay so one. THEY DIDNT SAY IT WAS REQUIRED THE PERSON WHO SENT IT OUT ISNT EVEN ON THE EMAIL NO MORE. ITS A DIFFERENT PERSON AND NOW i have to wait til next year! like jesus man! this is messed up. Word of advice make sure njhs is the right spot for you. because dang my heart sunk today. i was waiting weeks for this and now im not it. NJHS is messed up.

Do not worry about this. It is insignificant.

No one will care about an honor society, especially middle school where what you do doesn’t make it into college applications.

Note: This was posted in the student lounge section of CC. I believe their target audience was other students.

I don’t think OP was asking if NJHS matters for college applications. It was something they applied for and didn’t get into. They are disappointed.

I’m sure it is frustrating and disappointing…but as others have said there will be no long term ramifications.
