The scholarships add up together right?

I heard that they can’t add up

Are you sure? What’s the point of having a Deans scholarship if almost everyone qualified is a NMF?

See post #4

I think NMF counts as a Presidential, and USC only accepts Trustee/Presidential/Deans exclusively.

No, they do not add up.

^ What that person said.

Oh ok. If it was 3/4 I might have considered going to USC, but my parents won’t allow me now since their need-based aid is so little… :(

Don’t make any decisions until you get your final financial aid packet. You never know until you see it in writing.

u can add grants up

In the scholarship letter I got, USC said that if awarded more than one merit award, they would just award you the larger one. This is not financial aid however, so you should go ahead and apply for financial aid, and wait and see what they give you. You never know!

So scholarships are outside of financial aid? Hmmm then what exactly does the FA comprise of? Sorry if I sound noobish cause I’m international

USC has been known to be very generous with need-based aid in candidates they really want. Several kids I know there got significant need-based grants to add to their merit awards.

ycang, USC and other schools often combine need and merit money to make it possible for students to be able to afford the school.

Idk if international students have to do it, (though I suppose they would), the financial aid given by a university is determined from your EFC that is determined through your FAFSA as well as your CSS Profile, as well as each university’s unique way of determining financial need.

international students do not qualify for financial aid

Yea I’m not sure what FA is like but I know we don’t get it so I didn’t even fill up the FA forms and stuff
