NMH sold to Hobby Lobby

Hey guys,

This is not new news. In 2009, with the decision to relocate their campus, NMH sold their current campus to Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. This is my only qualm about applying to NMH and the possibility of attending NMH.

Now, I realize that not all of the campus is being sold (Here is a detailed map of what was included in the transaction http://www.nmhschool.org/sites/default/files/pdf/northfield/NMH_Sale_of_Northfield_Campus_Plan.pdf</a> ), but I wanted to ask a couple of questions to current NMH students, faculty, anyone who can answer the questions, etc.

With the move to new campus, will there be major construction going on after students and faculty move in that will hinder the use of said building till the construction is completed?

Will there be major faculty changes?

With this new campus, will this allow NMH to increase the amount of students they can “hold” (as in can they fit more students on their campus than at the previous campus)?

Thanks!

Azpandaman, NMH is not moving. NMH was formed by the merger of two schools, North field and Mount Hermon. For some time, the school used both campuses, shuttling students back and forth.

Recently, the trustees chose to run the school from one campus. They decreased the size of the student body, and built new buildings on the chosen campus. They sold the extra campus a few years ago. The campus owned by Hobby Lobby is no longer part of NMH.

Ah, I see. I was just confused by the whole ordeal.

The school consolidated onto Mount Hermon in 2005. It’s been nearly a decade since this all happened. No construction, no changes.
