NMS Semifinalist

I got a 222 on the PSAT in NY and that's high enough to be semifinalist. However, I remember that in April I got some form that asked for two colleges to send the score to. I somehow lost that form and didn't send it back, does that mean I can't be semifinalist anymore?

Nevermind, I just found it and it says that the college reporting thing is not required.

But now it's past the deadline, how important is it that I report my scores?

Whenever they release the scores, all the universities will know who you are and that you made it. You will get mail like crazy. If you decide to apply you can put specific psat score on application.

So the only thing that getting referred to colleges gets you is more mail from colleges? I guess the colleges I apply to will know my scores anyway, so it doesn't really affect my chances of admission right?

The ability to contact the two colleges with your score helps in that it gave 2 colleges that you were very interested a heads up that you were indeed interested. Then they would probably contact you early etc. But its not going to affect you really. Just get on those applications early and let your serious choices know your interested.

Alright, it's all clear to me now. Thanks a lot!

Your welcome
