No admissions Counsellor in my school.

I am from a small private school from India and don’t have a guidance counsellor in my school. I would be applying for Cornell ED this year. What should I do about it?

Well, there’s nothing you can do about it. But, if your question is who fills out the GC forms, the answer is an administrator at your school.

Can it be our prinicipal?

It can be your form master/tutor, homeroom teacher, principal, whoever has an overview of your personality and academic qualities and can tell little stories about you.

Check with the school and see who has filled that role for college applicants in the past. Nobody here can give you a better answer than your school can.

I am the first guy from my school (or rather City) applying for US university. @happy1

Then I would ask the person who runs the school who can best fill that role.

BTW, will it be a factor in my admission that I am from a small town in India and the first one to apply for a high esteemed institute like Cornell? @happy1

“will it be a factor in my admission that I am from a small town in India and the first one to apply for a high esteemed institute like Cornell?” Yes, how does Cornell compare you to other students? Cornell does not know your school at all.
