No ap classes my junior year?

Hello. i’m from korea 2 years ago,Now i’m junior in high school. When i was frashman and sophomore,i took 2 ELL class and math class and science class. it was just regular class. But this year i’m out the ell class and im taking junior 11 now and chemistry, physics and family health, pnw history,pre-cal. if i get above 2300 in sat, then can i apply for uc berkely? Also, i’m going to take 6 ap classes my senior year. i didnt do any sports or clubs because when i was freshman and sophomore , my english skill was terrible… i didnt even speak any words when people talking fast. but since freshman year i’ve doing community service at korean school for teaching and church for making power point for worship and volunteer at local library. if i start clubs or sports senior year, is it okay? because i want to improve my english skill my junior year and focus on sat I and sat II. is it possible, getting admitted to top 3o colleges? oh, i have a green card and i’m living in WA state. also, im intersted in engineering.

2300 SAT will be highly unlikely for you. If you have a 4.0 uw and 2100+ you have a good chance at Berkeley.

Improving your English is an excellent activity. You haven’t been doing it for very long, and it’s a difficult language at higher levels, like you’ll need to deal with in college classes.

Having a job also would be excellent. If you have a green card, you’re legal to work, subject to child labor laws, which put restrictions on the number of hours and the kinds of work allowed.

You don’t need to join clubs unless you actually want to.

And don’t worry about the AP classes. Your situation is special, and colleges certainly will understand. They’ll just want to be sure you can handle the classes you’ll take.
