I usually think of stuff while I;m writing, so the backspace key is a necessity while I’m typing.
It also helps for spell check, which I wouldn’t be able to function on a computer without.

<p>That’s such a stupid idea. If you’re using an app on the iPhone or iPod it corrects it for you. It may not always be right, but it corrects things.</p>
