no calculus, no stern?

i was unable to take ap calc as a senior next year because when i moved from ny to fl i was put one class behind where i should have been in the math curriculum resulting in a “messed up schedule”

will this keep me out of nyu stern?

Eh, if you get a good math score on the SATs, I’m sure it doesn’t really matter. You can of course include a note in your application on how your move affected the classes you could take if you want to cover all your bases.

I know my math score should be as great as possible, but what is the threshold…?

Depends on the rest of your app. Anyway, I don’t remember the exact score, but the average SAT was more than 1400 or something like that for the incoming classes, so make of that what you will. Remember that it means there are also people scoring below 1400 though.

It has no effect. I didn’t even take a non ap calclus, Im in stern now and i took calculus at NYU as do most sternies.

average sat score is 1441 for the class of 2010, was 1413? for the class of 2008. So I suspect it’ll be even higher for you guys. Taking calc doesnt matter too much, they make you take calc here even if you passed the AP exam, but not taking the hardest course load will make you look worse.

well i definitely take the hardest courseload, i’ll have completed 11 AP’s by the end of senior year, just no calc because of my move
