hi, i have a 27 on the ACT and a 3.1 uw gpa, if i applied to maryland’s education school is there any way i could get in or no way?? just so you know i have good ec’s, have held 3 paying jobs, i wont apply for financial aid (i dont know if that affects anything) just wondering

I would work my butt off on raising that ACT score if I were you…aim for a 30. And I think you stand a decent shot - but it won’t be easy.

Good luck! Have faith :)

Well my friend got in with a 3.15 UW and a 1900 SAT. He was surprised he got in, however, you definitely have a chance. Try to get at least a litle higher ACT or SAT score

FA doesn’t matter it does not play a role in the decision process. The question is are you IS or OOS, if OOS I would say probably not.

Also realize you never want to be near that 50% line, and currently your gpa is below that line.

The only thing that I believe if you are IS, that would make me say you have a chance is if you get your ACT up to @29, and that you want to be in the education program. It also could be a definete yes if you have a hook, don’t put being a legacy as a hook. A hook is something like moving here from a foreign country when you were 10 and not speaking english. Or holding a National seat for Beta or NHS.
