My wife was at a retirement dinner last night for one of her friends and one of the guests at my wife’s table was an adminstrator from a local school district.
Recently a mildy ■■■■■■■■ HS student who needs assistance in getting on the correct bus was mistakenly allowed on the wrong bus leaving school. The parent of the child freaked out ( for good reason) when she met her child’s bus and he wasn’t on it. so the driver immediately called the school and within minutes this adminstrator found out which bus the child had gotten on. So this administrator gets in her car, meets the bus and transports the child home. When the mother met the administrator at the door she was still pretty upset and began yelling at this administrator. Finally just before the mother slams the door in her face, the mother says "You know they passed a law against this!.. it’s called the no child left behind act! ". Slam!

The next day when things had calmed down the adminstrator phoned the mother to not only tell her what steps the school was taking to avoid a problem in the future , but also to explain what the no child left behind act really is about.
