No Decision VS Deferral

Ok
i see a chunk of people getting deferred and
i see people still waiting for their decision.

I heard that RD ends April 1st and Deferral on April 15th.
and then i read this artilcal on this forum about the new ways on picking students and about that they will still need ‘several weeks’ to finish posting decisions.

Now, which one has more chance to go in? Deferred people? or No Decision people?

deferred-supposedly 20-30 percent
ppl who havent received a decision: U mich decision rate is around 40-46 percent.

hmm…
does anyone think that they will give decisions( deferred, accepted, or rejected) by April 1st?
cause i seriously doubt it

i dont think they’d really defer anymore ppl since they have to finish by april 15th. Although personally, I dont understand what a U Mich deferral means. Some say its U Mich needs more time and just slapped on a deferral with our app, others because we’re borderline. So who knows

i think they give many deferrals cause they dont really noe how many who got admitted already will actually enroll. Since U mich is a good school enough for smart students who also apply to ivy leagues and get admitted to those schools too.

I would definately choose ivy schools over u mich.
