I havent had any EC in HS so far, and don’t plan on it. However, I am going to a community college to get my basics out of the way and raise my GPA, so if i load up on EC then, will it help me when I try to get into UTA or another state school?

If you go to community college, and take the recommended transfer sequence for the major you want to complete at the state university, and if you earn the grades in that sequence that the university requires, you won’t need any ECs to transfer because your transfer will be guaranteed. Talk to the transfer counselors at your community college about this so that you have everything set up right.

Oh ok thanks a lot.

But would it help? Or does it not matter.

If there is a guaranteed transfer program, the only thing that matters for transfer admission is your coursework and your grades. Whether ECs would be useful for some kind of scholarship application is a whole other story. Talk with the transfer counselors at your CC. They are the experts.
