No ECs - UCB Engineering

Assuming my EC list consists of only the following:
6 years violin (5 years of orchestra)
250+ hours of community service
some clubs
none to few awards (depends on whether i’m a NMS semifinalist, etc.)
8 UC transferrable semester courses at a community college

, how high should my SAT scores be for me to look competitive if I’m applying for engineering (not EECS or BME)

I’m a Californian junior with a 3.9-4.0 UW/4.4-4.5 W GPA by the way. I know from personal experience there is a level in which a student is almost a shoo-in if his/her GPA + SAT scores are high enough. Berkeley BME accepted my sister who had near-perfect SAT scores (1600 SAT, 800/800/780 SAT II), perfect GPA, and no ECs.

i wouldnt say that you have no ecs, it looks like youve done a bit :)

average engineering sat was in the low 1400s i think
