I hate UVA
It has been the worst decision of my LIFE. I have cried too many nights. Should I just transfer? I have no friends. There are no interesting clubs here, Greek life isn’t for me as it just consists of partying and drinking, and overall there is just nothing keeping me here. I hate how I have to teach myself everything as it’s frustrating and I end up failing anyways. I’m just so miserable at this school and it’s NOT diverse at all. People are snobby, rude, and elitist. You can’t make true friends here at all. Everyone is so superficial. I’m not looking forward to returning and having another lonely, isolated, depressing year.

Hi @WaterWave360, I am sorry you have not had a good first year at UVA. There are a lot of adjustments that first year and to have additional stressors is hard. Getting into highly selective colleges like UVA is an accomplishment, but that does not mean it is the perfect spot for everyone accepted.
Some questions so we can help you a little-
Is there a college near home you could take some classes at in the fall while you consider other options?
Are you in state or out of state for UVA? Could you do one more semester at UVA, while you apply for a Spring transfer?
Have you applied to transfer to any other colleges? What do you have for a GPA from year one?
