<p>Unfortunately, Carleton was not victorious against St. Olaf today in football, thus losing the coveted Goat Trophy in the annual Cereal Bowl (so named as Northfield is the home of Malt-O-Meal).</p>
<p>However, I do want to take a moment to recognize a previous Carleton-St.Olaf game which took place in 1977 - the only NCAA-sanctioned metric football game. 10,000 fans packed the stadium for the game, which Carleton lost.</p>
