I have created a website for an organization that I very passionately care about. I sent a url of the website to a lot of the colleges I applied to, including ivy league universities.
Google analytics shows that only one of these colleges have taken a look at my website. It’s very late into the admissions game now, so that concerns me. My GPA is a 3.83 (4.27 W), but I have an ACT of 35. I’m nervous that my somewhat poor GPA threw me out of the running, and my entire application was not looked at holistically given I didn’t meet their benchmarks.
One of the first questions schools ask is: Can the applicant succeed here academically? This is answered by looking at the applicant’s test scores and GPA. So, yes, there can be a cutoff, but your numbers look good in that regard.
I’d guess most of your schools have a policy of not following such links.
Exactly. They have very limited time and a billion other applications on their desktops. They simply do not have the time to follow links to your website. Hopefully they found what you wanted them to find elsewhere in your application.
