So, I just found out this mornng that I was accepted to Valdosta State University. And I didn’t buy a sweatshirt…I bought a backpack lol. Its jansport, black and white checkers, with a big VSU logo appliqued on it. I am soon going to buy floor mats for my car…

Oh, I bought a tshirt also! My twin also got accepted. We start June 6th, 2008. My major: Biology (I’m going to teach high school biology). Her major: Nursing.

Congrats to you and your sister!
We need more good bio teachers and nurses!
Floor mats? Hmm, not sure if I’d want to wipe my feet on my chosen school…LOL

haha. Yeah, well…I like them. But they are $27 a piece, woah. Told mom “this is for christmas” “oh and so is this…” “and this…” haha. I’m thrilled. The stress is now off…senior year will be great.

The day after she graduates, your sister will looking at $50k a year or more (and some cases much more) to start; a certified science teacher will be looking at much the same (on Long Island in New York, it is $75k); this at a time the majority of grads from the top 50 schools will be pounding the pavements.

^ a certified science teacher in my home town makes 75k??? IM BECOMING A SCIENCE teacher(i actually do love science so i wouldnt be complaining)

Actually, my step-niece started as a math teacher five years ago with a B.A. in Math (from Queens College), no graduate school credentials, at $80k, and they paid for her Masters Degree as well. She now makes over $100k, only five years post graduation.
