no international interview

Hello
sorry to bother you on behalf of this question,
but in my case I feel that I have reason to worry.
I live in Germany, Dusseldorf and have just been told that no capacities for an interview
were available in my area.
For one thing, it seems stange to me, that they did not even offer a skype interview,
and what’s even more upsetting is that there is a Harvard alumni club in my town.
So, if I rule out the possibility of being a clear admit, should I conclude that I can forget about Harvard? Which is not the end of the world. However, it would be nice if I was not being lied to in the fashion of “this is no indication of the status of your application”, when it is clearly that.
Thank you for your time.

Hey delusionalyouth,
Thing is- there’s no point in worrying! Take the situation for what it is- ‘this is no indication of the status of your application’ LOL!

I know it feels…depressing, esp since I, myself, applied to 5 unis and only got offers for interviews yet from 2…but its actually no big deal. The worst that will happen is you’ll be rejected…along with almost 27000 other applicants, and you’ll never know if it was destined from the second they refused you an interview, or cuz it was just meant to be. =D

So chillax, there are bigger things to worry about! Like maintaining your grades, keeping yourself busy and most of all- enjoying senior year.

Hope my lil rant here has helped =D

If it makes any of you guys feel better, I haven’t heard from any of my schools either. And believe me, I have applied to a hell lot of Colleges.

I am in an area where interviews are offered only after our file has been reviewed, H website says so. I am feeling even worse, since an interview is most needed to convey my application better, at least, I feel so…

Yeah you are of course right, there are worse things.
However, I just don’t like the dishonesty. It’s not like I am going to kill myself if I know a month earlier about my rejection. Quite on the contrary, it would be much more interesting to know if I was somehow close to admission or the adcoms just laughed about my application. I feel like I should contact the person who wrote the email and kindly suggest a skype interview and invite him to be perfectly honest about the status of my application.
