I have the grades to get into some of the top schools with a 4.53 academic GPA after Junior year. But… I had a major surgery which effed me over. My original plan was to use my summer working as a Beach lifeguard- which is a really hard job to get at my age. But I had to get a patella repair surgery and after that… i didnt have a back up plan. Would a lack of internship and job the summer before junior year skrew up my chances with top schools? I mean i dont even know what I want to be yet, and I feel like thats a disadvantage to not have a general direction to go towards.
***oh also i forgot my other question. Is there anything i can do to fix this this late in the game?
You had major surgery, and spent the rest of the summer doing rehab. Don’t worry about this.
