No-language, no-history SAT Subject Tests will be OK?

My son is a junior and already took Math Level 2 (800), Chem (780), and Physics (780). He registered to take SAT Bio in May but many people advise him not to take any more science, but take any language or history subject test. However, my son says that he is not ready to take US History test even though he is taking Honors US History now in his school (His school doesn’t offer AP US History). He wants to take Bio as planned. Is it OK? Or does he need to take US History in this fall? In June he has to take SAT Reasoning test. We don’t have many choices…Please advise us…

he should study for the us history exam over the summer (plenty of time) and take it in october and will get the scores in time for early decision. if he doesnt plan on applying early decision he for sure has nothing to worry about.

Also:

keep in mind that he can take bio on the same testing date. language is a very hard exam if ur not such an asute student in english.

Thanks, ladygaga! The problem is that he has to take SAT Reasoning test one more time in October if he doesn’t do well in this June test. In that case, can he take US History in November?

Yes but he should request to get his scores early from collegeboard (i think its 2 weeks after exam and its an extra fee). Even if he gets his scores a few days after registration deadline he can still send his scores from these tests after the deadline. 99% of schools will still accept them all they care about is if the general application is in before the deadline. Remember though that this is only applicable if he is applying early decision anywhere. If not, he will definitely have his scores back in time for regular decision without paying for the fee to get back scores early.
