So, I’ve been toying with the idea of potentially going to the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. For anyone who doesn’t already know about the school, the curriculum is very innovative. However, the potential downside to this is that the school generally only administers a Bachelor of Arts Degree or a Bachelor of Science degree with no particular major attached.

My question is about the practicality of simply a general, no major Bachelor of Arts degree. What exactly can this be used for job-wise? What opportunities would this really open up for me?

Thanks.

Also, for anyone who is particularly familiar with Evergreen, I am looking for a great deal of education in music (I would be a voice performance major elsewhere) and am curious if a comparable amount of music education would be at all attainable (I have emailed the school itself already, but I haven’t got a response yet).
