No more SAT IIs?

I’ve heard rumors that most of the colleges at Cornell are no longer going to be requiring SAT IIs starting with this upcoming admissions cycle? Any truth to this? Anybody know?

anyone…

I can’t answer that specific question (you could try calling admission and asking) but I would advise that you take SAT IIs at the end of your Junior year (or earlier if appropriate). That way if you decide at the last minute you want to apply somewhere that requires them, you’ll be all set. If you have them and don’t need them, nothing is lost.

I agree with mathmomvt. You should take it just in case, and show that you’re willing to take the extra step. If you get good scores, it’ll definitely help you highlight your strengths.

Anyone have any new info on this ?

Unless you’re only going to be applying to colleges that don’t require the SAT IIs, this is a pointless question. You’ll probably be taking the IIs for other schools, and because Cornell doesn’t do Score Choice, you’ll have to send them in anyway.
