No. Of people who get into ILR ED

How many people get into ilr Ed each year? I heard something like 250 overall. Is this accurate. And do they have a quota for instate students. I’m an oos applicant

The Supreme Court ruled that it is constitutionally not allowed for colleges to set quotas for receiving certain students.

I thought the quota decision applied to race, not any quota at all such as residency requirements.

Either way, Cornell doesn’t have quotas for admissions.

do you know how many people get in each year as early decision applicants to ILR?

Proportion of freshman enrolled from early action and early decision: about 30%.
So, about 80 will get acceptance in ED.

@casa I kind of have a feeling it should be less… because of the number ed accepted, they know they will matriculate, while for rd they don’t know for sure if they will attend Cornell

i was wondering the same thing about CALS, does anyone know approximately how many CALS ED applicants get in yearly?

cornell publishes its total applications/acceptances for each college, but it doesn’t break down into ED and RD

Does anyone have an estimate for the number of people ilr accept ED or the percent it accepts ED? not cornell in general but ILR itself

early decision:06------07-----08-----09
Applied------140-----189----207----210
Accepted----48-------56-----58-----67

total:--------06------07-----08-----09
Applied------766-----881----957----1024
Accepted----273-----240----236----230
Enrolled -----154-----167----153----152

these are from a handout from the admissions office i received on a visit, hope the spacing didnt get messed up

So there’s about a 30% chance for us, maybe a little less. Thanks yankee. Hopefully we are among that 30%!

so 67/210=31.2%

thanks yankee

Yankee, would you happen to have the same stats for CALS ED?

Do you guys know if ILR gives preference to instate students. I’m applying OOS from California.

@Sparxx sorry i only have the ones on ILR

omg bless your heart yankee814 haha thank you!!
