<p>Could someone please chance me? I feel like no one ever answers my threads… =
Please chance me for the ivies except cornell and upenn ESPECIALLY PRINCETON (#1)!

SAT: 2240 (720 m, 720 r, 800 w)
SAT 2s: 710 m1, 700 lit
Placed 3rd in semi finals for national speech competition 9th and 11th and 2nd in 10th
Invited by asst principal to interview prospective teachers with her and other adults
Student gov’t leadership positions
French club sec last year
MUSIC - voice and THEATER (leads in plays, area all state, a capella, drama club, etc)
Peer leadership, Chinese club, student organization, academic league, honor societies
I play violin and piano
Madrigal Singers leader (I conduct for all concerts and direct rehearsals when teacher gone)
GREEK DANCING is my other huge commitment - I’m asst teacher and lead dancer
A lottt of soccer in and out of school (a lot) in addition to school track
VP of Greek Orthodox Youth Assoc group at my church (volunteering, fundraisers, etc)
A good amount of volunteer service</p>

<p>I’m very involved and passionate about all things performing and being in front of people and I wrote about that in my essays
Teacher recommendations should be amazing because I picked people that love me
I got an extra recomm from my school plays’ director who was also my teacher for 2 years
I had a live voice audition at Princeton (I think it went pretty well, not amazingly)
Sent in a decent not “outstanding” voice supplement to Brown, Columbia, & Harvard
I interview very well IMO so hopefully interviews count somewhat
I got into Georgetown if that means anything…</p>

<p>Chances are so hard to predict…honestly, if we say “YOU’RE IN!” then you might be disappointed later and if we say “YOU LOSE!” then you’ll feel depressed</p>

<p>Let’s all take up hobbies instead! I know how you feel though but being anxious sadly doesn’t solve anything :(</p>

<p>spiralcloud, thank you so much. that actually kind of relieved me in a way. i do need to relax a bit because in the end it is what it is i guess… lol
randombetch, we dont rank but im in the top ten % of 270 students thats all they give.</p>

<p>I agree with spiralcloud!!! The first time I joined CC I make some chance threads and all said that I had the same chance as the other 29,000+ applicants which didn’t help at all!!</p>

<p>Miles – we applicants know what a crapshoot Ivy league admissions are. Applicants who were more qualified than me got rejected from Yale, and my heart really went out to them. Our opinions don’t matter (we’re not adcoms and I don’t think adcoms frequent these boards :P). Besides, your application is in – you can’t improve it. So stop worrying, relax and enjoy your senior year (and if you have to worry, do so the day before decisions come out :p). Best of luck!</p>
