No roomate match?

<p>How come this school has no roomate match at all? Or was I just silly and missed it altogether? while applying for housing, they just asked me if I wanted one or two roomates, but no test or survey for finding a roomate with similar interests… and then I got the email saying I will find out who my roomate is in July…</p>

<p>What the heck? Is it just me or is this weird O_O Shouldn’t there be a survey or test to determine who your ideal roomate would be? Or Did I just miss it… in which case… where was it and is it too late to go back? Thanks :/</p>

<p>UIUC, which is actually like most colleges, does not use any such matching questionnaires. Not sure where you got the idea that most do.</p>

<p>I don’t think it’s completely random. My roommate and I had the same major.</p>

<p>It’s random. If you applied for an LLC, I think they’ll put you with a roommate in the same LLC. I kind of wish they had a questionnaire, just for compatibility purposes, but random assignments aren’t bad are all.</p>
