Hey guys just wondering, will I still be considered for Cornell if I do not have SAT 2 scores. I am an international student and it is only after submitting my application did I realised that it is necessary. Will it count if it is expected?

What does Cornell say? Are you applying to one of the schools that requires them?

http://admissions.cornell.edu/sites/default/files/2014%20Freshman%20Admission%20Requirements.pdf

If you don’t submit them, Cornell is justified in rejecting you out of hand. Have you already taken the test but just haven’t sent the scores? Or have you not even taken the test? If not, can you sign up to take the next test?

If it is required, it could well cause a rejection . However, not to fear. Admissions Officers don’t start reviewing immediately after submission. Instead, you’ll have a bit of time after to get your scores together. If you have taken the test, DO send scores to Cornell IMMEDIATELY. If you haven’t, you might want to email admissions and ask them if the next earliest date that you could take it at would be acceptable. If yes, then try to take it at the next earliest date (or just sign up now to be safe).

You should contact the specific school you are applying to, and the admissions rep will give you the best answer. I remember when my son was applying (he is a 2nd year student there), he contacted one of the schools because he did not have an SAT II in the subject they required. The admissions rep urged him to apply anyway and said it would not be a determining factor. Focus on your essay and making it clear to Cornell why you believe you are a good fit for the specific school you are applying to. I wish you the best!

Just ask the school.

Yeah! Email the school. Call if you can…
