<p>So on my son’s elion—all loans no scholarship money. He did get scholarship money from UDEL,UMD,Clemson,SC,UCONN. Thought he might get a little from Penn State. Would that get posted later, or is what is on Elion now all that he will be getting? </p>
<p>Not gonna visit Penn State if that is the case, because we cannot afford it without scholarship money and no reason to like it on a visit if that is the case.</p>
<p>As far as I know, Penn State doesn’t really give out scholarships, except to Schreyer students accepted as first-year applicants.</p>
<p>I got some $750/year scholarship for having a 3.0GPA, but I think that’s only for HS students in Pennsylvania. Not sure though.</p>
<p>Often times the department your son is in (Eberly, Smeal, Engineering) will give out a departmental scholarship, but with the cut in funding Penn State is expecting, who knows how that will affect the amount of scholarships given out.</p>
<p>It seems odd that a school would give NOTHING in forms of grants or scholarships. Perhaps they determined you weren’t in that much of need?</p>
<p>I only got loans and no scholarships as well. Very disappointed and most likely won’t attend now.</p>
