<p>For one of the college honors programs that I am applying for, the word count maximum and minimums are not listed. Does this mean I can just make it as long as I want? How long should I make it?</p>
<p>The question is: How long can you capture the reader’s attention.</p>
<p>Keep it to under 500 words, that’s the common app essay length and I’ve rarely seen a college essay ask for more than 500. Remember that admissions officers have to read a lot of essays…make your point and try to stand out in as few words as possible.</p>
