<p>Knew someone would post this here when I saw this morning’s strip! I roared with laughter. D1 gets up after I leave the house; I’m sure she’ll be shoving it in my face later.</p>

<p>My favorite Zits was one a few weeks ago when Mom was away and dad and son were on their own. Son spent all his time texting on his cell phone. When Mom called and asked how things were going Dad’s reply was “It’s just like being alone only lonelier”. Exactly how I feel sometimes.</p>

<p>My favorite was a year ago - Jeremy was about to take a test, having studied and prepared, when his brain suddenly decided to take a hike and jumped out of his head.</p>
<p>I showed today’s Zits to my D who is about to graduate from HS and she said casually, “oh yeah, the guy who draws that has a son who is a rising HS senior. he goes to my camp.” </p>
<p>she knows the son of the Zits cartoonist and she never mentioned it?!</p>
<p>PRJ, that must be where he gets his inspiration. Maybe we will see a lot of college search jokes this next year!</p>
<p>I have loved that cartoon since it first was a “trial” in our paper. Unfortunately it didn’t make the cutoff but I read it online daily…</p>

<p>after D1 looked at today’s cartoon, she handed the paper to D2 (HS class of 2012) and said, “look out - that lady looks just like mom!”</p>
<p>As a Dad, I have witnessed the same maternal anticipatory glee as well as the accompanying sons angst.</p>
<p>I just know that the Zits creator is in our house somewhere. With 3 DS’s it hits home so often that they must be in a closet.</p>
<p>I e-mailed it to D (graduated college last year), the subject line being “Doesn’t this bring back memories?”</p>
<p>No response. Well…<em>I</em> thought it was funny. I was the one with the College Guide books when she was in 8th grade, not TheMom.</p>
