Nobel Laureate Lectures

According the UofC web site, 5 current members of faculty are Nobel Laureates, 4 in Economics and one in Physics. Just curious if any one here have been to one of the lectures by a Nobel Laureate, or been taught by one? Any comments?

Also, by reading through the bios of Ada Yonath(Chem. 2009), UofC is not mentioned, does any one know how is she relate to UofC? Or I must be crossed my eyes. lol.

I don’t know about the first half of your post, but Ada Yonath was a visiting prof in 1977-1978. Not too much of connection.

[New chemistry Nobelist was UChicago visiting prof, conducted research at Argonne | The University of Chicago](http://news.uchicago.edu/news.php?asset_id=1729)

Ada Yonath is not one of the current 5 Nobel laureate faculty members. (She’s in medicine, not in econ or physics.)

Ada Yonath is a chemist/biochemist not really into medicine per se since she studies structural biology.

Who said Yonath is a current member of the faculty?

I had two questions, the second has to do with Yonath, the first one has nothing to do with her. Read the questions…

I am fully aware of Yonath is NOT a current faculty…
