^ You must own dozens of towels and pajamas! Are you bringing all of them to college?

hahaha, i do own dozens of both. i’m in a single so i fell like i may have room for all of it. but then again, i haven’t been to college yet, so i understand that my habits will most likely change…

I can wear my pjs for a week without washing them, but a towel? Ew, forget it. If I use it more than once it just ‘feels’ dirty…I dry off parts of my body that - clean or not - I don’t want my face touching after. I’m not anal enough to pick a certain sector of the towel for my butt or whatever (no pun intended!), and laundry’s not that bad. I’m bringing 8 towels with me to college (I already do my laundry about once a week at home) and I plan on showering once a day, in the mornings. In the night I wash my face and feet (if it’s summer time) and i’m good to go.

i’d rather use a towel for a week than my pj’s. but i just switch my pj’s about every 3 days or less. but i don’t have official pj’s. just whatever clean/beat up shorts i have with a tank. but i interchange them every 3 days at the most. ew…wearing your pj’s for more than 4 days in a row? ugh.

and my school doesn’t charge for laundry (technically speaking). you don’t put money in them at all, so you can wash as many times as you want and not be broke.

I don’t use towels more than once. I don’t want something that’s touched my ass to touch my face again, ew. But I have worn pajamas and jeans multiple days in a row. I don’t have that many pairs of jeans that fit now (I lost weight) so I pretty much have to unless I want to run around in my underwear. I don’t really see what’s so bad about wearing pajamas multiple times… you’re just sleeping in them! It’s not like you’re wearing them all day and getting all gross and sweaty in them alot.

I should specify, I don’t sleep in my pjs - I just bum around in them before bed/in the mornings. I usually sleep in a tank top and underwear, and I wash both every day =p

On to pjs I guess. I wear cleans ones every night. I actually sleep in them. I can use a towel more than once, sure. But wearing any clothes that actually touches my skin for an extended period of time more than once is just unacceptable and I won’t do it. Hoodies, jackets, and coats are the exception. They are layed over something else, so I wear one three of four days and THEN put in in the dirty laundry bag.

But the downside to it is that I’ve only been at school six days and my bag for dirty colored clothes is pretty much full. It’ll be overflowing by the time I wash clothes on Monday or Tuesday.

that’s pretty gross that nobody takes a shower . . yuckkkkk

Man my towels last forever… haha. I never notice how long i used them or whatever long as it feels/smells clean. I think i use same one around for 2-3 weeks… (i only have 2 towels so i need more towels in general)

But that’s just because i’m the only person using it and i’m always clean when i’m using it. I used to use new towel every time i showered when i used to live at home 2-3 yrs ago but laundry costs too much and i don’t really care all that muhc.

And PJs (shorts i’m thinking)… i wear the same one for around a 3-5 days and rotate… well the shirt i usually change every 1-3 days (if i’m not hot… if it’s hot it changed every day of course) but the shorts? i don’t really care.

And i actually take showers every 1-2 days… showering 2 times a day… dunno seems like over doing it to me… My hair’s rather fragile and falls out alot and my shower revolves around my hair really (unless i’ve been swimming or exercising that day)

yeah I only shower twice a day if I mow the lawn or something…once in the morning is plenty for me :D

are you all freshman> the ones who need to do laundry every other day>

I give you all two months, and when you have to spend your free time doing your jammies cause they feel icky after two times, (what are you doing in them anyway)

what till you have midterms, papers, finals, we will see if you still spend an hour doing your hair and hours doing your laundry

yeah…we will see

my guess is suddenly, you wiill realize that a towel can be used more than once, showering 2 times a day is a pain, and spending your free time and $$$ doing laundry just aint worth it, and NO BODY CARES!!!

hygeine is one of the greatest time-wasters

citygirlmom,

um, well. i’m a sophomore and know MANY people who showered 2 or more time a day throughout the year. and i would do laundry about every 2 weeks, with no problem. even during finals and such.

so…you just saw

and my school has free laundry. and seriously, it takes like an hour to do laundry when you think about it. all you do is put the clothes in the washer, take them out and put them in the dryer, take them out and quickly fold. all the time in between you can study, which is what i did. do you just sit there and watch your clothes spin when you do laundry?

^ the thing is people don’t take our their clothes after it runs so you have to wait forever or take out other ppl’s clothes which i find rude really. (people have done this and it wasn’t so pleasant)

confront them, its the only way to solve anything in this messed up world.

yeah, i know that happens. and that’s when you take their clothes out and put it in a pile somewhere. it’s rude of them to leave it there and prevent others from using it. so yeah, i got over my the fact that taking people clothes out may be rude pretty quickly. it’s annoying as hell when people come in 3 hours later and complain that someone took their clothes out. hello…

Wait.

Did citygirlsmom just say that noone cares about hygiene?

Wow.

And she tried to villianize me in the other thread about wanting to give an adult independance.

Stunning.

haha…i’m surprised she’s a mom and saying that…she is a mom right?

yikes I rarely shower twice a day. I have too much hair. I also don’t sweat heavily and tend to have dry skin, not oily, so I don’t “feel” dirty as often as other people might.
But then again I take the longest showers ever, so I might be wasting just as much water.
I admit that in the summer if I’m just laying around the house being a vegetable I might not shower that day. My house has yet to complain. This thread is funny.
