Nomination question

Is there a difference between U.S. senators and state senators regarding nominations? Are both able of writing nominations or is it only your 2 main senators that can do this? (I’m confused. i didn’t even know there was two types of senators.)

The United States Congress is broken up into two different chambers, the House of Representatives and the Senate. Membership in the HOR is dependent on the population of your state, while every state has 2 Senators regardless of population. Only your two “national” senators can nominate you for the N.A. State senators (those that serve in your state’s capital) cannot nominate you for the N.A.

Hope this helps.

Only U.S. Senators can provide a nomination. You can also apply to your U.S. Representative and the Vice President.
