Non alcoholic wine

Hi friends. I have come to the conclusion that while I like wine, it doesn’t like me. I need to find a good nonalcoholic wine.

I will drink both white and red but preferably white. Oh and it must not be sweet, I like dry wine.

Suggestions?

Following, as I came to the same conclusion a while back and have yet to find anything I like.

FWIW, if you happen to live in a state where it is legal, I do recommend the THC-infused beverages that are on the market. I’m partial to this one: https://shopharborside.com/san-leandro/products/185344/cann-grapefruit-rosemary-6pk-2mg-thc-4mg-cbd-per-can/?fromMenu=true

I haven’t found anything that is analogous to the NA beers. I can enjoy several different NA beers and they taste pretty good. Most of the NA wine I have tried just tastes like juice to me.

There are a lot of NA beers that are good.

We loved bitter lemon in Europe on a recent visit but it is not available here. We just bought some Fever tree sparkling Sicilian lemonade and blood orange ginger beer to bring to Thanksgiving as a substitute for champagne.

I also have tried to find a substitute for wine and have been unsuccessful. Tost, while quite expensive, just didn’t pass the family taste test trial.

Lyre’s has a N/A sparkler that is good. Not sweet. Non Alcoholic Sparkling Wine Range

Thanks, @sabaray . I will try that.

As for beer, I know that there are a lot of good N/A ones, but I am not a beer drinker.

I like wine too and have never had a good non-alcoholic one, sorry to say.

I think finding a good mocktail that is a slow sipper is the way to go. That way you have something to go along with dinner, but not just gulping it down in one sip. I actually made a great mocktail over the summer that was “long.”

It was primarily soda water, a lot of lime juice, simple sugar syrup, fresh mint, a very generous dash of bitters, and about 1/3 cup cranberry juice.

I can’t find the recipe, but I made it in a big pitcher. Chill it, then put in ice. Something like:

4 cups soda

1/2 to 1 cup lime juice

1/4 cup simple syrup (maybe less?)

A big dash of bitters (maybe a tsp?)

1/3 cup cranberry juice, preferably not just straight cranberry, maybe rasp-cran, or pome-cran.

torn up mint leaves, stirred in.

Lyre makes great sparkling wine. It tastes like prosecco, IMO. Regular NA wines are much trickier; I have not found any that don’t taste like diluted grape juice.

For those who look for a good NA beer, Stella NA is amazing!

I apologize if you can’t open this, I couldn’t find the usual icon for a gift link so hoping it may just be available to view?
I tried a few NA wines last year for the same reason and they were just awful, now just drink one very small glass of regular wine when I want it occasionally.

FYI: for Amazon shoppers, Lyre is on BF special.

My daughter had this as a non-alcoholic version of sparkling wine for her wedding. I thought it was pretty good, but it is definitely a sparkling wine.

We were in a wine store last week and they were sampling these - Catina Zaccagnini ‘0.0’ Alcohol-Removed Wines from Abruzzo Italy. We didn’t try them, but they are a very highly regarded wine and we love their Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. I would give this a try if I were looking for non-alcoholic wine.
