non-competitive summer programs?

Let me start by saying that I didn’t choose to do summer programs based simply on getting into colleges. However, given the amount of discussion on this board about RSI/TASP/etc, will colleges really care if you go to a summer program that isn’t competitive at all? I’m going to 2 relatively noncompetitive summer engineering programs this summer, and I’m wondering if colleges will really care and if I should put that on an application.

as you probably have seen by now…
people on this site don’t seem to have an interest in anything non-competitive

I say when in doubt, leave it out

We’re just CCers obsessed with competitive programs. I say still put it on (depends on what year you are, summer before junior, senior year?). It looks better than not doing anything at all during the summer. Colleges do want to see that you didn’t spend your summer getting fat and lazy. =]

if it’s in the area of interest that you’ve consistently shown with ECs and intended major, it will only help

But this is painfuly true as well =]
